At ABC 27 [2021 - 2022], I strengthened my skills in commercial and video production while serving as a liaison between the creative services and news departments. I conceptualized, wrote, shot, and edited promos, social content, and special projects for both station branding and commercial clients, while also taking on a lead role in project management and learning the WideOrbit system. My work earned me Employee of the Quarter after a client committed to a year-long partnership based on the positive production experience I provided.

While not producing tv specials, I worked with the account executives in the sales department to produce commercials for their clients. I strived to create a unique spot for each client’s needs.
ABC 27 Station Branding
The other half of my experience at ABC 27 involved supporting the news department through motion graphics, digital content, and promotional production. I conceptualized, wrote, shot, and edited image campaigns, topicals, programming promos, and social content, while also taking a lead role in the station’s weather rebrand by creating new image spots for the meteorology team.

After an unexpected copyright claim, I had to turn around weather branding promos in a rapid deadline with our new logo and branding. This effort pushed our meteorologists presence in the community.

Florida State Coach’s Show
From August 2021 May 2022 I served as producer, director, editor, and photographer for the Florida State Coach’s Show. It started with the football season and expanded to Basketball season, and a Baseball/Softball episode. I was able to be an on-site photographer as well as in control producer. As producer, I called the show as a live talk show style show. I edited all the b-roll over the show, promotional content, and other work as needed. While working on tight deadlines, I was able to work and fix any issues that arose on the fly to create a seemless product for the viewers.
ABC 27 Our Town Series
Our Town Thomasville was one of my first projects at ABC 27. I worked under the creative services director as photographer, producer, commercial editor, and segment editor. The Our Town series then expanded to Bainbridge, and the most profitable investment being Our Town Apalachicola Bay. I took the lead role in both Our Town Bainbridge and Apalachicola Bay serving as the main producer, photographer, director, editor and liaison to the sales department. Each Our Town was a 30 minute OTA TV special with sponsored clients and commercials.

ABC 27 Better Together Wedding Special
Like Our Town, this was a 30 minute OTA TV special that aired in May of 2022. I took the lead role in this project as well. This special was unique in that it featured Tallahassee and purpose was to drive weddings to the area. In addition to these interview segments that are very much like something you would see on HGTV or shopping networks I would create the commercial spots that air in newscast and subsequent commercial programming schedules.
