Let me introduce myself, my name is Valerie Amineh Rodriguez.
Born in Manatí, Puerto Rico, my family immigranted to Indianapolis when I was 3 years old and now I call South Florida home. I’m a native Spanish speaker, avid wildlife enthusiast, and lover of all things pop culture.
Storytelling has always been my passion, and digital media became the perfect medium for it. It all started when I begged my mom for my first camera around 7 or 8 years old. Since then, I’ve realized the power of storytelling extends far beyond a camera and can live across multiple creative mediums. While I have a strong background in cinematography and film production, you can still catch me off the clock painting watercolors and exploring color theory. I have expanded my knowledge professionally into drone videography, motion-graphic design, and creating SEO driven copy for social-media platforms.
A.bit about my educational background, I graduated from Land O’ Lakes High School in 2014 with an International Baccalaureate diploma before earning my Mass Communications degree from the University of South Florida in 2017 with a concentration in Broadcast and Television Production. During my time at USF, I interned with the Tampa Bay Lightning, ABC Action News, ZooTampa (formerly Lowry Park Zoo), and iHeartRaves.com. While at my time with the Tampa Bay Lightning I served as their first digital media intern during a historic play-off run. That season, I was mentored by an Emmy award winning team whom curated a sense of drive for high-quality visual story-telling.
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked professionally with Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, ZooTampa, E.W. Scripps, Gray Media stations, and a variety of freelance clients including MetroCon Tampa. I currently work as a lifestyle entertainment show producer at WFLX FOX29 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where I serve as the primary director, videographer, and editor for South Florida Daily, a local lifestyle television show airing weekdays at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The show features sponsored segments highlighting local businesses and events throughout South Florida.
I’m always looking for new opportunities to create meaningful, engaging content and collaborate with teams that value creativity, storytelling, and community impact.
I have worked as a photographer for Busch Gardens, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, and Gigante Productions. You name it, I’ve shot it.
My favorite part of photography and videography is capturing moments of my friends and family. That’s what I believe sets me apart from the rest, I want you to feel comfortable and ready to capture the magic. I want you to feel the way my friends and family do, and everything else will come naturally.
